Not alone... not alone!
"I take this song as pretty bitter and sarcastic. To me this song is about when one of your friends turns on you. Not in an obvious or physical way, but they completely change up and become friends with your enemies, and their new group diss you and they turn a blind eye. The first bit is pretty vague but to me it's the bitterness coming through. Like the people used to be really good friends, and now one of them has just walked away. The line 'I'll stick you...enough to take your oxygen away,' is a sort of a revenge. You feel so bitter towards the person, and they act all cool to you on your own, and pretend that nothing has changed. They ignore the abuse you get from their new friends, and when you talk to them you can't hide the edge in your voice. Taking away their oxygen is making them feel awkward, but not in a direct confrontation. 'I'll stick you a little' is because you'll make them sweat a little, make them see how pissed you are in your body language, yet wont be direct about it because you remember how cool your friendship was before. The fire is how angry you feel because of all the shit you've gone through with this person and they just forgot all about you. Setting them on fire is making them feel how you feel. The line 'I'm so into this whore...so forget about me,' is sarcasm. It's like I've moved on, I'm living my life, you're living yours so why should you give a fuck about me? But it's meant in a bitter way, as they always used to care. The chorus is all about how you're not considered 'cool' and are not accepted into this new group 'pushed back to square' because you never ever got on with them and maybe dissed them, but they deserved it, and you don't give a fuck about any of them 'well there you go.' The line 'cause back in school we were the leaders of it all' is a slight diss at the hierarchy of schools (jock beat on geeks etc.) which basically says, I would never want to be like you, thinking I own the place and putting people down for no reason other then I have the power to do so. 'Transpose or stop your life' is again another diss, saying sarcatically how we should all change up and be like them. The last two lines are a cleansing process, putting the issue behind you. It's almost as if you're saying the friend you had before is gone, all that's left is a piece of meat and basically they can go fuck themselves."
